He May Never See Me Now

The pointless TV shows gods smiled upon me last week.  Last week a flier appeared in our mailbox promoting a new TIVO addition that was available to any customer of the local telecom provider.  If I had been in charge of mail that day, this flier would have gone straight to the trash.  Thankfully, I was not in charge!  Thankfully the love of my life was in charge.  Thankfully, he read that beautiful flier and thankfully he began considering this offer.

I wish I could say he was considering this new package as a just because present. But truthfully,  he saw this as his perfect opportunity to rid me completely of his chair and his tv – where I all too frequently record multiple (and in his mind totally pointless) shows.  Whatever his reasoning was, he went upstairs and soon returned to tell me, I would be in control of my own DVR upstairs.  I was thrilled!  Hello Bravo, Food Network, E! and my new personal favorite the I.D. channel!  We have been missing each other haven’t we!

Yesterday my OWN DVR arrived.  It was glorious.  I began setting up my scheduled recordings so I would be ready to go!  Since I have so much spare time these days, it may take me 1 week to watch an episode but somehow I manage and consider myself pretty “up” on my current and clearly important television shows!   So yes…me and the remote became “one”.

But today…. oh today was even better!

Not only had the love of my life hooked up my portal for pointless television- today he also upgraded me in another department too!

Yes…while I have never complained about the ancient state of “my” previous television, I must say it was rather large and bulky but totally served its purpose.  But now, I feel so 2012 with “MY” new tv.  It could be Fisher Price…I wouldn’t care… it is big, bright and MINE!

Ironically enough, it is HD compatible which happens to be of importance to the love of my life.  Bet I find it programmed to automatically tune to ESPNHD within a week!

Loving me some hubby and my new tv!

Thank you Bubs!
