The Greatest Show On Earth!!

For quite some time now, Bubba and I have had the mentality that experiences are the best gifts! We love going somewhere together and both being able to enjoy the "present". So we decided that we would also begin doing this for the kids. With the twins turning six this week, we have recently been debating what "experience" to give them for their birthdays! And just when I was beginning to think the "experiences" I had in mind just weren't going to happen, the Greatest Show on Earth came to town!!!

Bubba and I did not tell the kids where we were headed today! We did tell them it was their birthday surprise and that it was going to be a lot of fun! The thoughts about where were headed ranged from Chester, the dentist, Carowinds, Krispy Kreme and the mall!

After a slight panic attack with me forgetting my ID and having to create a story about a lost wallet for Bubs to be able to get our tickets, we were headed in to the Circus PreShow!!

Bess was about the only happy one at the beginning of our adventure!

Except Bubs and I. We were enjoying it!!

I left with the other three while Bubs and Bessie continued to enjoy the pre show clowns and horses!

After arriving at our seats, the attitudes began to improve !!

Wylie was my side kick for the show! Ready to see the "girls that fly in the air".

Ben didn't want to cooperate for any picture!

The Bailey Bunch was ready for the action to begin!!

Of course Bubs was only in his seat 5 minutes before the snow cone request was made!! And tell me one person who doesn't love a snow cone?!  Still humorous how ice can cost so much!! In a matter of minutes, our little loves were even happier and now SUPER ready for the show to start!

Bess was precious!! The girl knew how to attack her snow cone!! She even ended up eating Ben's too!!

We had great seats! The kids were able to see everything and we even had the Ring Master walk up near our seats!!

The circus is not quiet. It definitely isn't a place most children are seen dozing off. However, sweet Ben Ben started to get very still in my lap at one point. I was just excited he wasn't hopping in and out of his chair!  Never in a million years, would I have thought this was possible!!

Sweet baby fell slap asleep watching the tight rope walkers!! And continued to sleep through the whole entire show!! He saw about 30 minutes then was snooze central for him!!

All in all, today was a great experience to give our almost six year olds!!! They all loved it!! Charlie said he loved the dog act the most! Wylie like the spinning circles with the people inside. Bess liked the elephants. And Ben Ben keeps saying he liked the blue boys. (I think he meant the dancers).

I am so happy we did this for them. It was a great family day together!!

Happy Birthday Week Charlie and Wylie!!!
