The Beginning of Birthday Week!

Around this house and in this family, birthdays are pretty highly anticipated events!  Personally, I love my birthday and just can't imagine others not loving theres as much also!!  So therefore, having a family member in the house with a birthday is cause for a week long celebration!

What better way to kick of Birthday Week for Charlie and Wylie than by beginning their week with their birthday party!  This year, Charlie and Wylie jointly agreed that the theme would be BOWLING!!  Ever since this summer when we went bowling, that was it!  The theme was decided and the bowling alley was booked!

A week prior to the Bailey Bowling Bonanza, the twins started asking me if it was Saturday yet!  The excitement running through their little veins was apparent and a bit contagious!  I was so excited that they were excited about celebrating with their family and friends!  The party was not until 3 that afternoon and I am pretty sure that was pure torture for Charlie and Wylie!!  One day had never moved so slowly for them!!!

In true fashion, they wanted cakes that were pink and purple...

and green and blue!  Shocker!!

The bowling alley was PACKED on Saturday!  I personally fell in love with this theme of bowling for a party!  Had a had that million dollar tree planted in my back yard, I could have gone CRAZY with things to decorate with!  However, the beauty of a location birthday party is you have exactly 2 hours and cramming it all in in that time is sometimes challenging.  It is madness no matter how you shake it!  So... having cute tablescapes , cake for kids  and plenty of bowling balls for these birthday babies and some peeps to share it all with was about all that I needed to consider this party a success!

When you stepped back and looked at our crowd, it was quite impressive!!  At one point someone pointed out I had enough kids there to have an entire kindergarten class!  HA! Never thought of it but we certainly did!!

Bowling was the name of the game and these little kiddos had it all under control!!

It was too tempting to ask adults to come to this throw down and not allow them to bowl!  Therefore, we had an adult bowling lane for all our competitive bowling family members!
Katherine and Jeffery sure did know how to show their stuff!

I will honestly say I felt like the first hour of this party was pure madness.  Everyone was there and everyone was bowling but WOW was it a lot going on!!  Kids, bowling balls, strikes, spares... it was overwhelming to this momma!!

Soon, we all gathered around to sing and celebrate the almost six year olds!

The wishes were made and cake was quickly served to this hungry group of bowlers!

Bessie sat beside her "husband" Wyatt during the party!!  Aren't they precious!!

Despite the madness and craziness of the bowling alley, they crew opted to open presents at the bowling alley rather than waiting!  Madness added to madness equals a good time for almost 6 year olds!!

Charlie was THRILLED to get remote control cars.  The poor child has been aching for one of these since Christmas and his wishes were finally answered at his party!!

Wylie was showered with rainbow loom , art supplies and baby doll clothes!  She was one happy, happy girl!!

This special day for two of my most special blessings was wonderful!  Thanks to family and friends, we were able to let Charlie and Wylie know how blessed we are to have them in our family and how much we love them!

It was an incredible party followed with a wonderful night of family time at home!

I am so thankful for family that drives for different cities and friends that arrive to celebrate with our family!  We are blessed beyond measure.  I know Charlie and Wylie enjoyed their special day and are looking forward to their special birthday week!!

Thank you all for everything you did for them!  They are over the moon with their new treats!
