While I realize I am 2 days late posting this, I am just glad I can report our first 2 days of Preschool 2012 were a success!
Dear Ol’ Dad returned to his routine of getting all kids, up, dressed and ready and out the door, delivered to a classroom with bookbags and smiles! The kids and I certainly agree, we have a SuperDad here!
I did leave a poor pitiful note on the kitchen counter the morning school started asking him to have a mini photo session with the kids, and I was thrilled when I came home to find some priceless pics had snapped!
Charlie and Wylie are starting 4K! I mean that is one year away from Kindergarten! Is this even possible? I know this year will be a year filled with even more learning! They are very excited about learning nursery rhymes and finding out what jobs they are going to have in their new class! They just seem so big!! Time is flying!
Bess is all excited about being in Charlie and Wylie’s old class with their teacher from last year! While her “boyfriend” is not with her this year, I am sure she will manage! Last year we had some days were she turned into a “rattlesnake” before she arrived at school. So this year, we just hope for happy mornings from our sweet Bessie Boo! I know she is going to love learning to do the many things that she sees C and W doing now!
And last but not least…Baby Ben! He I am a bit worried for. Lately, his moods are extremely unpredictable and he seems to be pretty grumpy so I can only pray his teachers have an extra dose of patience this year! He knows the routine though and if he spots his bookbag, he knows just what to do! It doesn’t seem right seeing my “baby baby” carry his own bookbag like his siblings. But according to Ben, he is just as big and old as his siblings so he should do just what they do! I know he will love school, I just hope he doesn’t show his grumpy side too often!!
I am so thankful for such a great dad who gets these little loves ready, for a school that loves them each day they are there and for these 4 little loves and the love for learning that they have! Oh how I wished I could have hugged them good bye and said “Have a good day!” as they entered the door, but I know Bubs took care of that for me!
Glad to report our first 2 days were a big success! Here’s to a great year!
