So with the invention of the ipad and many electronic devices that are currently in my life, actually sitting down at this computer to blog has been a challenge. While I do realize there is probably some fantastic App for blogging, I don’t really want it. I have my computer niche, we are one…we blog together, eat chocolate together, some nights drink our wine together and Otis, me and this computer have a routine… therefore, some major events have taken place recently that deserve their spot on this blog. Long story short… I am entitling these next few posts – Recently…

The weather was perfect and the game gear was on! The USC vs. UAB game was the special trip to Columbia to see the Gamecocks for Charlie and Wylie! The excitement between these 2 was contagious! Charlie was so happy to be in his Gamecock t-shirt and just wanted to see Clowney! Wy was thrilled to be in a new cheerleading outfit! And I know it is sentimental of me, but taking my two babies back to such a memorable and special place gets better each time we do it!
These 2 birds played, laughed, ate and drank Capri Suns until their hearts were content! Life was good!
And while they only made it less than a quarter in the game, they had a blast! The might be like their momma (and occasionally their daddy) and find that the tailgate is often quite a bit of fun on gameday!

Camping is the “boy thing” that Bubs and Charlie has taken up. Fine by me. They love it. They have their tent, their fishing gear, their lantern flashlight, tailgating chairs, hot dogs and they are good to go! This little outing marked their 2nd Father/Son Camp Out and I am not sure if Bubba wasn’t more excited then Charlie!
While I wasn’t there, and I don’t know all the details, I do know enough of the story to retell it for the blog. The story of how (and why) Charlie the 4 year old Drove the Gator. I am a bit vague on why there was gator ride at night but I am sure there was a very valid reason! But what I do know is, Bubba and James ended up needing the assistance of the 4 year old! Through some twist and turns, the Gator ended up in a rather large mud puddle. Surprise, it got stuck. So what do you do when you are in the woods far from camp and need to get out? You ask 4 year old to keep his foot on the gas peddle, hold the steering wheel and pray that the pushing you are doing from behind works! While shoes and pants were ruined in the meantime, one little boy was so excited to be driving and even though they might not admit it, I bet 2 grown boys were laughing pretty hard while covered in mud! Thankfully, they all survived and lived to tell about it!
I don’t doubt, I know that this is only one of the many stories that will emerge from the woods when these 2 go camping! Love that I have a hubby who loves being with his son like this!
