Birthdaying with the Baileys!

I don’t know if the Chester Cove restaurant was prepared for this crazy bunch of loves to come for the Friday Night Supper Club or not but…. we came, we ate, and we all survived! 

For our Friday night entertainment, (while Bubs is away playing golf) we were invited to the weekly supper gathering that Granny and PawPaw attend in Chester!  The Chester’s Cove was the place to be Friday night!  And what better way to celebrate than by making it a family affair complete with cake! 

The loves loaded up and off, me, YaYa and Pop Pop headed to the city of Chester! 

Of course we required tables to be pulled together and played a short version of musical chairs but soon enough, we were all seated and ready for the fun!

Bess was introduced to the hushpuppies and she and PawPaw were soon a match made in heaven!

Bless his soul,  Charlie thought that the HushPuppy sticks were his meal and before we knew it, he was announcing he was done with his supper!  He only ate a whole boy…the growing boy that he is!!!

On this same day, Wylie received her first watch from our nanny Judi.  And when I say that Wylie has treasured this watch, I am meaning every word of it!  She LOVES her watch and wears it proudly!  She is very, very, VERY aware of time on the clock and reports it often.  Thanks to the ever so handy watch, I got a minute by minute update of the new times as we drove to pick up YaYa and PopPop!  She couldn’t wait to show it off.  So I was giggling inside when I looked over to see her touching PawPaw’s watch and then showing hers off too!

Ben in a restaurant is typically a nightmare.  He surprised me for this gathering though.  He remained pretty calm and under the radar for him.  I was pleasantly surprised by his temper adn willingness to behave!  Don’t get me wrong, there was PLENTY of entertaining going on, but if we make it through a restaurant meal without Ben having a meltdown, it is a SUCCESS! 

While the event was fun, Ben seemed to enjoy the cake eating part the most!  How adorable is this kid?!  He melts my heart!

 

I am sure my crew was probably being stared at by others.  I am sure they were probably thinking several things :  1)  Do you think those are all hers?  2)  Is she insane to bring them here?  or 3) When might they be done?   But despite the thoughts of others, we had a wonderful evening celebrating PawPaw’s bday!
