A Very Traumatized Caterpillar

Imagine the excitement at the Bailey house this afternoon when this momma discovered a caterpillar outside and drew all of the little ones attention to it!! To say the least, it was easy entertainment that occupied my little ones for at least 45 minutes!  They were fascinated by Mr. Caterpillar.

Thanks to this little boy, Mr. Caterpillar enjoyed many rides down the slide!  I am sure he (Mr. Caterpillar) was overcome with joy each time he was placed back at the top in preparation for another “ride”.

Although there were very few moments where this caterpillar was actually on the ground, when he was there, my three were all eyes!

Wylie continues to surprise me!  For someone who loves to be decked in dress up wear and tote a purse around, she sure does have a love for bugs and creatures like caterpillars!  She was braver than Charlie on many occasions and took the picking up Mr. Caterpillar into her hands MANY times!  However, she did her fair share of scoping out the little creature  before allowing her bravery to set in!

Bess was the little devil this afternoon and just wanted to squish Mr. Caterpillar.  If it wasn’t for Wylie, I am not so sure he would be with us this evening!  Everytime she would walk away he would begin his escape which Bess interpreted as Mr. Caterpillar following her!

There is no doubt in my mind that when Mr. Caterpillar heard me announce we had to go in for supper he breathed a sigh of relief.

Thanks Mr. Caterpillar!  You sure did bring plenty of smiles to three loves today!
