Rub a Dub Dub

Rub a Dub Dub, Ben Bailey loves the tub!   Even the thought of bath time sends this child into precious smiles!

Back in the day when Charlie and Wylie were tee niney tiny, they were able to enjoy long soaks in a tub adorned with play toys and soft pillows for their heads.  Bess rolled around and I chose to forego the lavish tub and just whip out the portable and collapsible travel size tub which caused me to break my back bending over the side of the tub each and every night.  But Baby 4 rolled around I got smart! (And cost efficient too!) 

I love my baby boy with all my heart, but this kid only knows how to take a bath in a sink.  I did splurge and by a tub pad that fits perfectly into the sink bowl, providing that spa like feel to his tooshy!  It practically is like having a waterfall at your fingertips! 

I am only taking a stab in the dark here, but the child must be so relaxed because he literally just lays there.  He would let me bathe him for an hour if I wanted.  Ben is so patient and just soaks up his Spa De Bailey treatment! 

And the best part is after we are through getting so fresh and so clean, after he has been rubbed from head to toe in baby lotion (oh how I love the smell!!!) , and after he is all snug in his jammies, he just looks at you and smiles and smiles!! 

Ahhhhh…. melt my heart!
