There for a while, Charlie was giving Bubba and I a run for our money! We had days of preschool where he was immediately sent home to his room and lost his favorite "backyard shoes" with Buzz and Woody on them because he couldn't get his act together while he was at preschool.
He continued to grow and as it stands today, Charlie is such a tender hearted little boy who is competitive with himself, takes pride in learning new things and loves to know he can "do" something new! He is energetic, active, the easiest child to get to sleep at night and also a boy who already has college dreams for himself!
I am so thankful that Charlie was recognized recently as his class' Terrific Kid! Not for the paper certificate or the little assembly but for what this "award" said to him! He knew from this that he was doing things at school that were respectful and kind. He could tell me things in his classroom at school he had done that were making differences to others and my heart was filled with pride. He is learning such important lessons and I am so thankful! I want for him to be a boy who always has manners, a kind heart, a little boy who is a friend and is a boy who does the right things even when it is not easy to do! In a small way, I hope (and I think he did) he realized that being respectful is a trait noticed by others and appreciated by others!
Charlie, you are a treasure to our family! We look at your excitement for learning, your spirit for life and your funny sense of humor and constantly fall more in love with you! Our worlds are better and brighter each day because of you! Thank you for being the sweet boy you are. For always giving those surprise hugs, for trying your hardest when something is new, for being devoted to learning and for being a helper to our household!
You are wonderful in so many ways! We love you Lots and Lots!!
