These days, Charlie has a clear obsession with Buzz and Woody! These 2 “friends” do pretty much everything with Charlie throughout his day. From breakfast to potty training to bedtime, these pals are usually right by his side. Plus a range of other characters as well! To show his love on an even deeper level, you can often hear Charlie scream some version of “To Infinity…and Beyond” throughout the house as he plays with his favorite buddies!
In honor of Charlie’s love and devotion to Buzz and Woody, Bubba and I decided Charlie would love going to see Toy Story 3 in the theaters. He can sit through any movie at home for several viewings if you allow it, so sitting through this movie was going to be a breeze!
Now our good friend Wylie is a completely different story when it comes to movie viewing. She could care less about a movie regardless of who or what it is about. If you get lucky she may show interest in it for about 2.2 seconds but then she is back to her busy self. But alas, she was about to go along for this ride!
So up we loaded – all 4 of us and headed to the Manchester Cinemas! Ready or not!
What first time at the movies isn’t complete without the biggest tub of popcorn a good daddy will buy and a super duper extra large Sprite complete with free refills?! The fam was set for this highly anticipated movie!
Charlie and Wylie were absolutely so patient as we awaited Buzz and Woody! They were so busy chowing down on their buttery “corn” they really weren’t in tune to much else!
Finally, the movie began and this is pretty much what Charlie looked like through the entire thing. Except for most of the movie, he was on the edge of his seat, naming all the characters who appeared on the screen with a giggle in his voice! He was SO, SO, SO into this!!
Oh how I wish, I could report the same for our good friend Wylie! Let’s see, 3 pee pee trips, several switches of the seat, a few minutes sipping daddy’s drink, a walk or 2 up the aisle, a pretend dance with Cinderella, the eating of a snack pack of candy and some corn… this child could have really cared less about the gigantic Buzz and Woody that was on the screen before her. Although she was quite busy throughout, she wasn’t too loud- Praise the Lord!
Me on the other hand, I cried like a baby at this movie! All I could think about was my stuffed “Ralph” that I slept with all through my childhood and into college. He now sits in Charlie and Wylie’s room so he never feels unloved!
So, I am not sure who enjoyed this adventure more- the kids or Bubba and I! Either way it was a win win for the entire gang!

What a great outing!I am so glad that Cinderella and Woody got to enjoy the movie also!
How special for the two of them to get to have a date with their parents! I just love the photo of Charlie sitting in the movie seat - he looks enthralled!
I am laughing so hard right now. I can see that little old ralph in my head and remember all of our little friends all positioned next to us in our bed when we were little. Charlie's face is priceless. Can't wait to go see Toy Story on Ice with you guys! That will be fun. Lucy and Wylie will be each other friends with all their potty adventures and snacking. Two peas in a pod. Charlie and Ella on the other hand will be in complete amazement for the show.
