Desperate for an Activity!?

These long summer days have been marvelous!  We can sleep in until 8, take our time eating breakfast and getting dressed, spend time at the pool, watch Buzz and Woody until our heart is content or play PlayDoh!  But there have been days when I have been desperate for a “new” activity that could occupy the time for my 3 little loves!  Thankfully Bess inspired me!

Bess can tear up a cookie faster than a hungry dog!  She is a junk-a-holic just like her sister!  So after her adventures with an Oreo, the child was a little more than messy!  And what better entertainment for a one year old who is dirty than a Pool Party in the Sink!  Believe it or not, this was Bess’ first sink bath!  A little monumental!

So Fresh and So Clean!

This activity was SUCH a hit with this little one!  She was thrilled to use the measuring cups and have her own space to play in!  She was quite the jabberwocky talker throughout this!

Throughout Bess’ bath, she had a curious bystander who coaxed his way into the other side of the sink!  Thrilled to be a part of the action, I was a little worried for how much cleanup was about to be thrown my way!

But my wild man did great!  Yes, my kitchen windows got several baths but they needed them anyways!

Bess, who has recently learned to give kisses, felt it was appropriate to show her affection to her brother for joining her Sink Pool Party!

So you may ask, where was Miss Cleanliness herself throughout this activity?  Don’t worry, she was narrating the action every step of the way.  She really didn’t want to be part of the party until Bess was done!  But then she was ready to party with her bro!

Wylie has also recently learned how to “wash” her own hair.  I am often told these days “Wylie do it!”  - and she does!  While her hard work does require me to assist afterwards, she gives it such a good shot.  And she is SUPER proud of herself!

Clearly, she is a talented beautician!  If you would like to schedule an appointment just comment below!

So at least this little activity killed a good 45 minutes of our day!  And we made some smiles and memories along the way!
