When I was little, my mom gave my sister and I a special book. The book was all about sisters. At the time, it was just a story book. Today, it is so much more! This book forever changed Amy and me. Even today, when the opprotunity arrises, we still sign cards and such with "Love, Your Spider Sister". As silly as it may be, we both still have our books and I can probably speak for Amy and say, we will both give our girls a copy of this book when the time is right.
Just like every day since Baby Bess arrived home, Wylie has adored having a baby sister. If you ask Wylie to help out with Bess, she is johnny on the spot! Wylie understands if you ask her to go put Bess' passy back in her mouth or get Mommy a diaper for Bess. After asking for Bubba when she wakes up, she then questions where Baby Bess is. Many evenings she sits on the counter while I feed Bess dinner. And bathtime with Bess is icing on the cake! No matter how you look at it, Wylie loves her "Spider Sister"! That melts my heart!
Wylie LOVES to hold Baby Bess. She is so gentle and pats her belly saying "Shhhhh" while she holds her. She loves to read to her and on a rare occasion has even shared Bunny Foo Foo with her- only for a split second though!
I can so vividly remember a multitude of "spider sister" conversations that Amy and I have had while being snuggled in a twin bed. The phone calls made way to late at night that have been answered, the moments of gut wrenching laughter we have gotten ourselves into. The joy of experiencing pregnancy and motherhood with each other and now the priceless moments of seeing our children anxiously await each other for a play date!
I am so excited for Wylie and Bess. I am excited for what I know is to come for them! Sisters are blessing and truly best friends! I pray they learn this too!

Making me puddle up a litte over here spder sis! When I look back on our childhood we did absolutely everything together. From skinny dipping in the Aunt Betty's pool (do you remember that), watching GREASE, watching Growing Pains, waiting for Santa, riding our bikes, playing in Dad's KingAir plane, sharing a room, and the list goes on and on. You are my very best friend and I am so thankful for you. I get tears in my eyes when I look at Charlie, Wylie, and Bess just because I love them so very much! Wylie and Bess have something very special and I know they will also grow up together as we did! Their fist spider sister pictures will be ones kept forever and ever, just like some of our first photos together. I hope Wylie doesn't decide to give her little spider sis some M&M's before her teeth come in!! Hahaha!
