Happy Birthday My Love

On October 17, 1979 a truly special little girl was born. She was blue eyed healthy little (9 lbs) angel. This beautiful little girl was named Kasie Marie Rutland. Kasie was kind hearted, loving, and sometimes a bit sneaky, but always was more concerned about everyone else being happy rather than herself. Kasie was born in Alabama and had two wonderful parents and a younger sister and little brother. She later moved to Rock Hill, SC where she ended up growing and later marrying her prince charming (that's me) and decided to raise her own family. I know you are sitting there thinking what is the point of all this. Well, Kasie has been on me about 4 months about posting a blog for her birthday. If you didn't know it already, which I don't know how you wouldn't, she LOVES her birthday. For Kasie, it is not a birthDay, it is a BirthWeek and sometimes a birthMonth. So here I am the sweet husband posting about her birthday. I couldn't think of a better way of doing it than giving everyone a sneak peak at her life over the past 30 yrs. So without further ado, here it is:

Early Childhood

"Get your paws away from my cake sis, it's MY birthday. Can't you tell I even have on my balloon shirt"

"My Dad bought this Porshe for me when I was born. What a birthday present!! He really enjoyed it and even took me to see a Huey Lewis Concert in it"

"Dad loved taking me a sis on his airplane as a kid."

"We just landed the Mayflower at Plymyth Rock and are meeting the Indians later for Thanksgiving Dinner."

Teenage and College Years

"Look at these three Hotties"

"She had a tough time keeping her hands off this guy. I wonder what happened with them?"

"Here they are again, a lot prettier and him a lot furrier."

"Good times with Great Friends (Literally)."

Starting her own Family

"The twins have arrived."

"Yo Wylie, I love this Lady." Yeah, me too Charlie."

"Mom, you didn't have to drink that Castor Oil, I would have come eventually."

"Hey Ma, can I give Bess my balloon?"

"The Family Portait. Can it get any better than this"

So Kasie, ask and you shall receive. Here is your 30th Birthday blog. I hope you enjoy it. I love you so much and I would not have things any other way. You are an amazing woman, an even better wife, and an even much better mother. I love you so very much and hope your 30th is fantastic.
PS. Don't count on me doing many more of these. I don't know if I haveit in me.
PSS. I couldn't resist this last picture, you look SOOO CUTE!!!! I LOVE YA!!

Happy Birthday, cuz!! I remember the day you were born, actually. Wait, back up - I even remember being in the room when Mom answered the phone and it was your Mom screaming that she was preggers!! Mom yelled at Dad "Brenda is PREGNANT!" and then she had to explain to me and Brooke what pregnant meant, and then I got in trouble later for sticking a Kleenex under my Barbie's dress and saying she was pregnant, because "NICE LITTLE SOUTHERN GIRLS" did not say the "P" word!! HORRORS! (I am guessing from her reaction that "knocked up" was also off the table...)

But back to the birth story - I remember the phone ringing and Mom answering (we were living in Prattville) and your dad telling us you had been born. I had just turned 9 in July and had received a diary for my birthday. I thought it was cool but did not want to write too much in it because I knew my mother would read it (not that I had too many scandalous things to hide at age 9 but she was paranoid... I guess she wanted to make sure I had not noticed how Fred always gave Daphne that special "look" when he thought Velma wasn't looking...).

ANYWAY, the point I am getting to in SUCH a roundabout way is that even though I hardly ever wrote anything in my diary, the birth of my newest cousin rated a mention - I wrote "Larry called. Kasie Marie was born today." So there you go - your first mention in print.

Hope your Birthmonth has been fantabulous. See you in January!

XXOXO,
Jen

Now on the day you were born 30 years ago all 9lb and 14 oz of you were a bit rough-but I loved you the first time I saw you and love you for all you have become! You are a blessing to those babies, your Man, your brother and sister, your Mom and Dad any all the children you teach! What an amazing lady you are! You and your sister and brother are our hearts!
