Look closely or you could mistake this picture for a random black and white mass! But no... this is Baby Bailey's face. I had to rotate the pic so you could see better but if you look you can see 2 eyes, a nose and the hands near the face. Since we are not "frequent fliers" this pregnancy, the ultrasounds are so different!!! Forget those long and detailed ultrasounds that allowed you to see everything from earlobes to toenails- NOPE! It is a quick, check on the baby, measure a thing or two on the little critter then bahda-bing, bahda-boom, you are outta there!! So needless to say, Bubba and I walked away today from our ultrasound with 2 pictures of exactly the same thing! This is it... Baby Bailey's face. It was the world's quickest ultrasound! I always said through Charlie and Wylie's pregnancy, I just wanted to be normal and I got it. While I must say the level of worries and concerns is so much less this go round, seeing your sweet baby every 2 weeks was a luxury I have missed this time. But, it just makes the arrival of Baby Bailey that much more anticipated! We really don't know much about this baby... will "New Baby" (as it is referred to around our house) have long skinny feet like Wylie did? Will it have a head full of hair like Charlie? Who knows but we can't wait to meet New Baby and find out!
New Baby weighed in at 4 lbs 8 oz today. The weight of the baby is over where I am week wise... but great! In addition, my belly is measuring ahead. The best news was that New Baby has turned and is HEAD DOWN!!! YEAH!!!! This means I can now go forward with having a VBAC for delivery. I still have a section scheduled for June 12th just in case we have a stubborn one on our hands but hopefully we will meet our newest addition before that day! I am unable to be induced after having a section last go round so I have to go into labor on my own. Any takers on walking up and down Summerwood Drive beginning the end of May early June? Should be a sight! Maybe we can hold a lawn party in my yard and ya'll take turns as I waddle up and down the big hill! Ya'll could laugh, I could pray for labor!
The other turn of events was today New Baby picked a new heart rate. Heartrate has been holding firm at 155 for most of the pregnancy but today we really shook it up with a heart rate of 145. And I enjoyed a Coke beforehand so... any predictions?! My doctor did comment on how the baby's bottom was " a very firm butt"! So that is a Bubba trait since no one has ever, EVER commented on my rear being FIRM! Could mean a cute baseball butt on a little boy is in our future!
Now we continue to "bake" Baby Bailey and wait on the big arrival. Charlie and Wylie are becoming more aware of my belly as New Baby likes to kick them while they are in my arms. Especially at night! Bubba is feeling the joys of the baby already as he has been kicked in the back in the bed! We have an active one on the way! Healthy, but active. And without doubt, a baby that will be perfect in every way imaginable!

Please do not walk up and down your driveway to induce labor- I can bearly do it as a non pregnant person when I come to your house for a visit. It would be sight though! Glad everything looked good!

I will walk and walk and walk after June 5th!!! Burns and I will be happy to take turns walking with you!!! I am so excited and can't wait to meet Baby Bailey!!! So glad your appt. went well!!!
Good for you for trying a VBAC. I know lots of women do them. Good luck in the last few weeks with your normal, easy pregnancy! :) I don't know how moms with twins do it...I felt huge enough with just one!

Yippee!!! We can't wait to find out what New Baby Bailey will be!
Kasie Bailey, you better NOT walk up and down your street! How about take a few walks around the yard or something? Or you could drink castor oil (yuck!). ;)
Regardless, we are looking forward to this! Love you guys!
Can't wait to meet the newest addition to the family! Ella Grace of course hopes you are having a girl and will not discuss any mention of the word "boy." Not much longer!!! So excited! Let's keep Baby Bailey right where baby Bailey is for now! At least for a few more weeks!
