34 Weeks Eve

Today is the eve of my 34th week of pregnancy! As I thought about this last night, I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I remembered what this day was during my pregnancy with Charlie and Wylie. Many VAST differences here friends!! Since I was not a "blogger" during those days (wish so bad I had been), I thought I would relive the past and allow you all to join in the fun! If for nothing more than the laughter it might bring to your day! To be clear, after my doctor's appointment today, neither my doctor nor I expect a repeat of last pregnancy tomorrow morning!

So... to begin let's discuss the lovely ensemble I tempted Bubba with for the last stretch of my pregnancy. Watch out Heidi Klum because Project Runway would not have been able to take this outfit! Thanks to my school librarian, I wore the same variation of an outfit around the house for about the last month of my pregnancy. Knowing my love for polka dots, she bought me this set of PJ's. While you may think it is a top and bottom set... oh no friends, it was a JACKET for my arms- seeing as how it did not button (except the top button).

So if that was a jacket, what was I wearing underneath? Oh... it only gets better folks! Our dear York Road librarian again saved the day by donating to me a t-shirt that fit no one else at our school. I wore it proudly. Bubba thought I was a serious dork! Whatever... teachers do touch lives! Check out this shirt... no words! I know you are all jealous!

It continues to get better though. (Lacey this next trendy piece of my attire is yours in the future! On loan of course!!!) Ye Ol' Cherokee Sweatshirt. Nothing more comfortable in this world. What made this paticular piece of clothing even better was that I couldn't get it over my belly so I simply wore it above! Belly hanging out and all (with my Teachers Rule shirt of course!) Is the image in your head ugly- because these were not the prettiest days of life!

Now that you have the mental image... let me show you my 2 faithful companions who survived that day with me! My loyal bedside companions. And for the record... I am not even sure I got out of bed that day to let Poor Hankers out!!

While I love Hank, my 2nd companion was a necessity and true lifesaver. I say prayers thanking the makers of this wonderful cocktail! Sleep would not be possible without it!

And finally, thanks to HBO, the day and eve before my children's birth was spent totally engrossed in yet another show I am addicted to!

I realize I am the only who finds humor in all this. However, when you wake at 4:19 as I have been the past couple days, random, pointless blogs come into your head! For the record, I feel that I look much more presentable tonight! Here's to embarassing pregnancy outfits! I know I can't be the only one!

First of all let me just say the polka dots were a fave of mine to say the least- you were HOT!!!! The teacher shirt speaks volumes and alas my friend I do believe that I have one of those I too broke it out with pregnancy!!! One can never get tired of wearing a Camp Cherokee shirt, sweatshirt or shorts!!! So to you I say this go around fashion wise has been so much better!!!!

This post has made my morning! I just wish that you actual had put the clothes on and modeled them for the pictures! I feel so honored to get to borrow the camp Cherokee sweatshirt one day and I hope I can wear it as well as you did! I will never get that picture out of my mind of you wearing it all rumpled up above your belly! Glad everything went well at the doctor!

As a fellow teacher AND Camp Cherokee alum, I think the style was very suitable for setting the tone for the unborn! Research has shown how much they absorb before birth and you were only steering them in the right direction...teachers make the best Moms and Cherokee is where you go when Mom needs a break!

STOP IT!! I can't even handle it!
I don't think I ever once saw you
out of those polka dot pj's. Morning time, lunch time, supper time-it just didn't matter: Kasie and the polka dot pj's were always there!! Too funny! I have yet a
better picture of you and Ella kissing your belly-maybe I should post it on my blog!! Do I dare??
See you tomorrow! Drive safely!

This is my favorite blog yet! So cute Kasie. And for the record, you don't give yourself enough credit. You were adorable when you were pregnant with the twins as you are now!

First of all....thank goodness I did not see u in that freakin teachers rule shirt! seriously disturbing. Do you remember my reaction to the "teacher sweaters" u used to get from Bubba for Christmas? this was similar...and I wear scrubs. Secondly, don't u wish that there was another season of Sex and the City for those bed bound days? Love this post!
