I wish that I could honestly write that the evenings at this house are not in the least chaotic or, shall we say, busy. But the truth is, there is ALWAYS something going on around here. Be it Spiderman shooting me into webs while I prepare supper, or Ben who insists on riding on my hip most moments unless he is occupied with a cookie, or the girls going on a shopping trip to Target. And…the only the place that these children of mine tend to want to “play” is right in the kitchen in the midst of cooking suppers and laundry.
But, when all the craziness of this house is in full throttle, I try very hard to step back and just remind myself, that this is life with 4 kids and what a blessing it is…I know it will not always be like this and I also know that every minute of web shooting, hip riding and shopping that goes on in this house is exactly what I have always wanted. That being said… I honestly know that with these 4 loves there is always, always, something that makes me giggle!!
These days, the giggling comes from toboggans! My girls are OBSESSED with them. Good for them it has felt like –20 this week! And what better to deck out a princess outfit than a tobaggan!?
And following in her big sister’s footsteps would be Bessie Boo herself! A little pistol she can be, but if she doesn’t melt your heart, I don’t know what can!
Thank you Lord for busy houses and silly kids! My heart grows more and more full with thankfulness each and every day!
