So you may or may not remember a post about 2 weeks ago regarding my sweet and precious little boy admitting to flushing his Mater car down the potty! After that little incident, we were thankful it was over. Poor Mater- rest his soul- had moved on to the great beyond of the sewage lines! It was a sad day but we moved forward. Thankful it costed under $100 to have Mater “sent” there.
That was until this week!
Seems that Mater was truly the least of our problems. This is what my bathroom and mudroom looked like on Monday night… this was NOT good!
And sadly, this picture doesn’t do it justice.
Good friends, in the blink of an eye, not only did our little humble abode have yucky water spewing from the top of the potty, it was coming from the floor of the potty as well! And it flowed, and it flowed, and it flowed!
SO MUCH water that this is now what my bathroom and mudroom look like…
Those giant and VERY loud machines would be some sort of dehumidifier left by the WASTE MANAGEMENT Company (!!!!!who knew those companies came to residential homes!!!!!) who, along with a plumber, a heating/cooling team and 2 hard working demolition men have come to know 709 well this week!
And all the while… who was getting the blame for this…?
You guessed it! That was until Wednesday when we discovered that Mater was actually not the problem! (lucky for Charlie & Mater!!)
Turns out a healthy set of tree roots is to blame! It took us 2 days, no heat, no duct work, no hot water, no tile and a destroyed tree but we finally are beginning to return to normal around here!
And might I add how much fun life is when you have 3 toddlers and no potty to be found and a stomach bug attacks!!!!
But that is neither here nor there!
