Pure Entertainment…On So Many Levels

So as a surprise and kind of random gift, Santa also left a little something for Bubs under our tree!  When Santa purchased this gift, he was really giggling thinking about how he could already see the writing on the wall.  And oh how right Santa was!!!

Santa left a Kinect for Bubs to go with is XBox.  Thankfully Jeffery and Katherine were in town to help us test it out!

These boys got serious!  But check out how much fun they had learning the ropes!  Only wish I could have recorded the laughter or could show you playback pictures the XBox captured.  Those are priceless!

But I must give my little bro some points for these extra fine moves!

Although the camera on the screen does and has captured some rather FINE pictures of myself playing this entertaining game, I will forever more keep those to myself!  But, I will say, Santa hit the mark of this gift!  Fun Times Ahead!!!

Bike-A-holics!

Maybe you had not heard but the little loves of this house desperately wanted bikes from Santa.  And guess what!  That Jolly Ol’ St. Nick was able to whip those up in no time!

Christmas morning was full of ooohs and ahhhs as C, W and B were greeted with all sorts of

fun-ness!  And right there in the thick of all that fun were 3 beautiful bikes-  A Spiderman Bike and 2 Princess Baby Doll Carriage Bikes!  Even complete with helmets!

Thankfully we did have short but doable stretch of hardwood floor in the kitchen to try out our new wheels!  But after a few laps around the kitchen island, we headed for the country to test out our skills!

And just in case anyone out there is wondering how to fashionably accessorize a bike helmet, our little fashionista was quick to demonstrate!

Sadly, we don’t have a good driveway or street for bike riding so it looks like lots of road trips for our bike fun are in the future!

Here’s to Bike Riding with the Baileys!

What a Busy Elf We Had!!!

What Christmas would have been complete without a visit from our friendly elf, Mr. Jingles!  This year, Charlie, Wylie and Bess were very much into Mr. Jingles which made it SO MUCH fun for me!  I loved trying to help Mr. Jingles find places that were perfect fits for our family!

Either The Bailey Bunch was extra good or extra bad this year, because one day, to our surprise, Mr. Jingles invited a friend to come and stay at our house!  Oh, the excitement this created!

We did have a few run ins with Mr. Jingles and his friend Flakes that caused Bubba or I to have to touch our friendly elves… but did you know there are Magic Elf gloves readily available in most kitchens!

Just look at all Mr. Jingles and his new bestie Flakes did while visiting our house!

Left our breakfast in the wreaths, oversaw the horrors of the potty explosion, turned all our kitchen lights red and green…

 Elf 1

brought us glow sticks, wanted Bess to feel part of the crowd so he found her a pink tree, but then… the Bailey Bunch was very bad and one night he disappeared only to reappear the next morning with a note saying we would only be getting rocks from Santa…

Elf 2

took Cinderella on a date around the tree, rode a reindeer, and watched a movie with some of his best buddies…

Elf 3

played dress up with hairbows and necklaces, tamed  a dinosaur,

Elf 4

watched from above with his 2 best buddies, tried to hide by dressing up as a princess and sipped on ice cold milk while over seeing our North Pole Breakfast…

Elf 5

flew back from the North Pole via a helicopter, changed out our stocking leaving our undies in their place…

Elf 6

arrived back from the North Pole and hung out in the fridge with his new buddy, showed off all the sights of the crazy house to Flakes thanks to Buzz Lightyear, made reindeer cookies for the kids school parties…

Elf 7

brought back a Santa balloon after having to take a visit back to talk to Santa,  made snowmen…

Elf 8

While lonely without his buddy Flakes, Mr, Jingles was able to host a tea party with 2 super fine ladies and his other best buddy, Woody…  thankfully Flakes and Mr. Jingles were quickly reunited…

Elf 9

and on Christmas Eve, these 2 special elves just couldn’t stand to be left out so they were waiting in the car on their stocking ready to travel to all the fun places our Christmas Eve day took this crazy crew!

Elf 10

We sure hope Mr. Jingles and Flakes made it back to the North Pole safely!  Can’t wait to see them again next year!

Yeah Mahn!

Are there words to express how relaxing and enjoyable this last week of my life has been?  After much planning and organization , thanks to my hubby, this momma and daddy set off on a jet plane for the tropical bliss of Jamaica!  5 nights of just wonderfulness….  everything about this trip was perfect!

We arrived in Jamaica to beautiful blue skies and sunny rays of sunshine!  By the time we reached our villa, we were instructed by our butler to get our dining clothes on for our first dinner!  Oh so yummy it was!  Seafood, Seafood, Seafood and more seafood- that was my intention for every meal!!

Jam 2

Every morning, our butler would bring us breakfast on our patio.  Wonderful fresh fruit and bagels and wonderful omelets!  Pretty hard to think your day might be rough when all you have to do is see this while you eat…

Jam 1

Our days consisted of many lounging hours under the pool cabanas or in the water with fruity drinks!  While we did visit the spa a time or two, most of our days were filled with sunshine and new friends!

Jam 3

Jam 9

Jam 6

Thanks to one new friend, this cup, found in the gift shop was a perfect fit for Bubs.  Seeing as how, this totally summed up his day before this photo!!!

Jam 5

On Tuesday, we rented a beach cabana complete with a cabana boy and all the food and drinks your heart could desire.  We watched a wedding laying in the comfort of this beach cabana, took a few too many but much needed naps, read some books, and kept dry through the rain showers.  We were in the comfort of our cabana from 10 til 5 and every hour of it was worth it!!

Jam 8

Jam 7With all this sunshine around us, you could easily have forgotten that back home every place we go is decked in Christmas tree gear!  But thankfully, there were a few reminders here to keep us in the Holiday Spirit!

Jam 4  While it was sad to leave, I was beyond ready to enjoy what was waiting for me at home.  Just as promised, we all had a slumber party in mommy’s bed, ate popcorn and watched the Christmas Belle and Beastie movie!  I couldn’t think of a more perfect was to spend my first night home from a relaxing vacation!

DSC_0694

Thank you so much Bubs for a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL time!  Every bit of our time in Jamaica was FANTASTIC and so appreciated!  Thanks for being such a terrific man and father!

I love you!  Lots & Lots!

Oh What a Night!

The Bailey’s have run a small marathon tonight!  After a jam packed day of school fun, the Bailey Bunch loaded up for a fun filled midweek family fun night!

First Stop:  Wally World

Tis the season for Class Christmas parties!  We were on a mission to get all the necessary ingredient for our favorite Rudolph cookies! These cookies are always a hit!  After the little loves went down, this momma got busy!

DSC_0601

Second Stop: A visit with Santa… Rock Hill Galleria Style!

Oh yes! Every year our family travels to the RH Galleria just to see Santa!  Lucky for us, tonight was Pet Night with Santa.  So my crew and a lot of animals were patiently waiting in line for a quick talk with Santa!  (Who knew they had pet night?!?!)

Although I do have a picture that captured the moment- it requires me to scan-  and that will require a scanner.  So that will have to come later!

Third Stop:  Food on the Go… “Chick A Lay”

Always a good family outing!  Indoor play area, chicken nuggets and free refills!  Love it!

Fourth Stop:  Decorations!

Due to my calendar confusion, our family missed the ever popular light show in a local neighborhood this year!  But never fear, we found out that even though the light show was this weekend, plenty of people still had their lights turned on for all of us late comers to see!

All my children call any type of Christmas display, ornament, light, etc… Decorations.  It really has become precious.  They ask constantly if they can have new decorations for their tree, or if we can find some decorations on houses.  Not sure why they have adopted this way of describing it,but they do and we roll with it !

So, with our bellies full, chocolate milk mustaches and candy cane faces, we headed to see the Decorations!

Just check out these lights!!  I mean… impressive!  Here we have the 1st place winner!

And finally we arrived home.  A quick change into jammies and this crew was D.O.N.E.!

Can’t wait for tomorrow night and PJ’s with Santa!

Direct Line

Guess what these little loves are doing?

DSC_0491

They are talking to Ol’ Santa Clause himself!  Thanks to our “Santa Cameras”!  Or rather.. the fire detector!

DSC_0579

Even better- for some reason, our downstairs detector is blinking green and red! (Probably need to investigate why- huh?!)  Anywho…Perfect for the season.  When the red flashes, you know Santa is peeking in!  He sees us eating supper, playing, coloring, you name it!!!

The best part about this teeny tiny itty bitty white lie is that the “Santa Cameras” are everywhere you go!  Target, grandparents, school… the list is endless!  And thankfully so!!!

And yes, my children really and truly do walk and stand under the “Santa Camera” and talk to Santa about things.  I turn and giggle!  I can’t help but think it is adorable.

I just have to wonder what my kids will one day say during Fire Prevention Week when some nice fireman comes to talk to their class about the safety measures their house should have!

Until then….Santa Camera it is!!

North Pole Breakfast

This weekend Santa sent all his special elves to Rock Hill to whip up a special treat!  Santa was too busy making all the toys so he sent his elves to our house to prepare a fancy treat for the all good boys and girls!
Luckily we were able to find a few!

This crew,  decked in their finest Christmas pj wear, joined  together for a delicious breakfast made by the elves.

After our bellies were full of “snowballs”, “North Pole Stars” and “Reindeer Noses” , all these little boys and girls were geared up for a day of Christmas fun!
We had a great time celebrating this festive season with friends!

Baby Jesus & Bess

DSC_0440

And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,  “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”   Luke 2: 12-14

Bess got a thrill this evening!  She has loved playing with Baby Jesus in our nativity set but this tops them all!

DSC_0433

RahRah delivered a early Christmas present after this adorable little girl practically begged her to come over last night with a Baby Jesus!

She hasn’t put it down yet- seriously.  Just a few minutes ago, as she prepared to go to the potty she laid Baby Jesus beside me at the computer and asked me to watch him while she was gone.  She has dressed herself up in necklaces and high heel shoes and has carried him around totally working around the cord that is attached! Already Baby Jesus has been to “school”!  And enjoyed a stroller ride!

DSC_0442

DSC_0444

I am thoroughly expecting Baby Jesus to be in someone’s bed tonight as she falls asleep.   And I thoroughly expect her heart to be a overjoyed as His probably as by this sight!

Everything about this is totally precious in my eyes! Everything about this makes my heart melt. And everything about this is such a reminder about what the true meaning of this joyous season is about!
