Yep, life is going to be pretty rough this week for me and the kids !
But someone has to do it so it might as well be us and the cousins! Can’t wait for a fun filled week with 6 kids 3 1/2 and under! Sure to have many laughs, memories and smiles made in the next week!
PS- We will miss you Bubs!

“Bennie Boo” as his sister Wylie and I often refer to Ben is 4 months old today! And bless his heart , since we are on summer schedules around here, this child has been the ideal picture of the word patient and perfect! He is such a go-with-the-flow baby! Thank the Lord!!
These days, it is highly likely you will just glance at Ben’s big blue eyes and immediately have your heart melt as he flashes his adorable and innocent smile at you! I could stare at him all day long and never get tired of how his little spirit shines!!
In true Bailey fashion, Ben is also attached to his “Foo Foo”! Not that I was shocked about this but all of my other babies around 3-4 months “discover” their foo-foos and it quickly becomes the point of no return! I really think Ben’s Foo Foo has magic powers because the child immediately (not kidding) closes his eyes when his Foo-Foo hits his face. And in true fashion, exactly like my other ones, he too covers his eyes with his Foo-Foo for his sweet dreams to begin!
If you aren’t careful around here, you just mind find Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum up to NO GOOD with Ben! I have walked in countless times on Wylie trying to act like me and changing Ben’s diaper, trying to burp him or picking out his clothes. While she is a big help, she has failed to realize she is 3 and is just quite capable of all that momma is! Bless her for trying though!! Bess, on the other hand, is a wild card. Some days she helps Ben readjust his passy and then 2 seconds later she is trying to sit on him! I am hoping her heart means well !! Both the girls LOVE to have Ben in their room at night while we are doing pajamas and especially love to rock-rock with him in the chair! Hence this picture. Clearly Wylie is being the mom and I am pretty sure Bess is in her Wild Card mood! It is like she is already contemplating her next move with Ben! Bless his soul, he just looks scared!! He is such a trooper!
Other than rice cereal and some baby foods, this month marked 2 other milestones in Ben’s life! Just the other day, Ben met the Bumbo! Such a crucial turning point for him because he loathes his bouncy seat some days!!
His second major milestone was taking a dip in the pool water! He started out happy. Didn’t really enjoy the sunscreen part but he was semi-enjoying himself …
until his dear sister Wylie jumped from the 3rd step and this happened!
then is was VERY MUCH OVER for poor Ben!
We are so grateful for the blessing of Ben and the precious spirit he adds to this very active house! Each night as I rock him, I can’t say thank you enough to the Lord for giving our family this blessing!

Watch out Michael Phelps- Charlie has learned to swim!! Thanks to the incredible Mrs. Heather, the Bailey Bunch will be needing one less set of floaties at the pool!!
After his successful day at the pool today, this little man wanted 2 things: a Transformer Movie and to go to Mrs. Betsy’s pool and jump on the “jumpy board”!
Way to go Charlie! We are so proud of you!!
With every new child there is always the question of who does he or she look like. With Charlie it was clear (and still is) he is my brother to a tee! Wylie has her daddys genes without a doubt! Bess might be a milkman baby~ some days she is me and the other days I can see Bubs in her, then again, somedays we have no clue who she looks like. (Although for the record, I will say the hospital nursing staff said she had a mouth shaped like Drew Barrymore!) And as you can predict, we are wondering these days just who will Ben turn out to look like.
I have several pictures I have taken of all 4 kids around the same time as milestone pictures. Below is the polka dot chair picture. I am so glad I did this because looking back at all 4 of them at this stage is such fun (at least to me!)

Okay, so it is clearly apparent Ben and Bess have the same mouth! I am on the fence about this. I think out of all these I can only claim my little night owl Charlie! I mean, am I really even a part of the genetic makeup of these kids? Looks like those Bailey genes sure are strong!!

It’s official… we are obsessed!
And a special shout out to Dollar General for hosting $2 Spiderman and Princess goggles. While they come slightly pre-foggy and the fitting is anything but true to size- this bunch of loves doesn’t seem to mind ONE

Time is zooming past us when it comes to Ben! I seriously could swear yesterday was February and I was galloping hospital halls trying to deliver this precious love! I feel like I blink and he is bigger, longer and of course cuter!!!
I am slightly delayed in posting one of the most MAJOR milestones Ben has recently mastered! For going on 2 WEEKS now, this little love has (drum roll please) slept through the night – and I mean we are talking Bailey style. Bedtime by 7 and sleeping until 6 where he gets a bottle and sleeps until 8! WAHOO!!! This momma is VERY happy about that milestone!
Today Ben had his 4 month weigh in/check up a little early! He is definitely following in his brother’s footsteps by being long and lean. He only weighs 13.4 pounds but had grown 5 inches since last visit!!
I did find it funny today that the doctor commented on how small Ben’s feet were. I personally thought he had long feet but I was told – and I quote- “I am an expert on feet. His are normal to small.” So there you go. I suppose it is his toes that look so long then!!
And in other news with Ben, tonight this little love had for supper a delicious mixture of yummy rice cereal and bananas!! Doesn’t that sound yummy! He sure did dig it though!
Oh how each and every day I fall more in love with this little blessing!
As usual, Sunday morning at the Bailey house started off with action and agendas! Everything was set for Ben’s baptism at church that morning! Now, all I had to do was have the help of the love of my life to help me feed and dress our crazy crew for church!
Ben began his morning with a first- observing the action of the Bailey kitchen while sitting in the highchair. He was a big fan!
And of course what would a special occasion at the Bailey house be without a photo shoot to commemorate the day! So we all headed in the den for this momma’s photo fun to begin!
Charlie, although smiling in this picture, was very irritated that I was interrupting his cartoon watching! One picture of all the little loves, that was all I wanted!
Wylie was a fan of the camera only because she was able to hold Ben. Clearly Bess was D.O.N.E. with my photo fun…and the day really hadn’t even begun!! Poor thing!
I love being a momma to these four precious miracles!
Although Ben did fantastic during the service, he was a little upset before the action began! He really just wanted his morning nap!
The Great Grandmothers always are looking for a little one to take a turn on their laps! Lucky for them, there are plenty of kiddos floating around these days to take them up on their offer!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the miracle and blessing of Ben! When I stop and think about how you knew this precious boy before he was even formed, I am blown away by your power! As his parents, we promise to love Ben with our entire hearts and raise him to love you too! We pray for guidance to help him grow and safety for him in all his many days! Thank you for blessing our family with this wonderful little boy! Amen.

In the blink of an eye, Baby Bess has grown from a tiny yet solid bundle of love
to a melt-your-heart toddler !
Clearly the Good Lord made Bess so rough and tough, knowing she was going to grow up her entire life thinking she was the same size and age as her older siblings! Never one to be left out or go without holding her own, our sweet “Baby” Bess is determined, stubborn, cuddly, innocent 95% of the time and of course adorable and precious!!!
Bess, I hope one day you can fully grasp and understand how you have completely melted your fathers heart! There are few things he treasures more than his afternoon home from work hugs that you give!
Forever and ever I want to always remember your words to me as we are saying goodnight to one another! Hearing you say “Love you Ma-ma. Lots Lots Ma-ma!” - those are words that bring smiles to my face, tears to my eyes and joy to my heart!
My love for you runs so deep! You truly are a “heart with legs” just waddling around speaking your distinct and often hard to translate Bess language that is adorable in every way! Your smile is infectious !
And I am absolutely for certain that as long as I live, I will think your version of a “smile” is precious in every way!
