I don't know if Saturday night was as hard on Charlie and Wylie as it was on me. Even Bubba felt a little twinge of sadness! Saturday, Charlie and Wylie departed ways and for the first night since being at home after their NICU stay, these 2 little loves did not share a room.
Charlie has his own official big boy room! A room without his partner in crime. A room filled with his "Ronnie car" bed, "Buck" the deer on the wall and his daddy's duck hanging over his baskets of cars, puzzles and Seasame Street lovies! Can I shed my tears now?!

So night #1 in the new rooms was super! But imagine what my heart felt when Wylie insisted on moving her princess gear into Charlie's old bed and sleeping in it all night! I tried to tell myself that she was doing it just because it was something new and she could do. But as we tucked all the loves into bed, Bubba came to me and said what my head and heart were already thinking- it was a little sad to see them in separate rooms! And for that reason alone, I caved at 3 this morning when Wylie wanted to sleep with us in the bed!
It was precious. It was so innocent. And it melted every bone in my body!
These 2 can fight like cats and dogs but it is a moment like that where I know all the time they have spent together and the bond they share as being a twin, is priceless , is such a blessing and is a quality about them that they can treasure forever!
