Jelly Belly

Ahhhh. You know it is almost spring when the grocery stores have piles of one of the best candies on earth... Brachs Jelly Beans. Yes, the oldies but goldies are our favorites!

Knowing my little junk food junkie like I do, I knew upon seeing these little bits of heaven in the grocery store today, that she would LOVE this new treat! And just as I expected, she was head over heels for jellybeans!

Wylie is a hoarder with most anything she has. She constantly is taking her pile of "stuff" and moving it to a safe location. It was no different with the bowl of jelly beans! She quietly slipped into the den and sat down at her table to eat her "nack" or snack!

When I asked her to say "Cheese", this is how my jelly belly smiled!

Wylie loves to name colors on things these days. She was very proud that she found a "narge" or orange one!

Bless baby Bess, she just wanted one little jelly bean. But the keeper of the good had other ideas for her little sister. And they did not include her sharing her loot!

Otis waited patiently for Wylie to drop just one. When that didn't happen, he just looked pathetic and in some doggy way was able to explain to her that his daddy has put him on a diet and he really needed something yummy to eat!

So, when we begin our long car rides this summer, going here and there, Wylie and her momma will be chowing down on the same thing. Because there is nothing better than a cheap bag of gas station jelly beans for a roadtrip!

The jelly beans really seemed to take effect tonight as bedtime was drawing near! This was the scene minutes before we began bedtime.

Good thing Wylie didn't offer her little sister Bess one of those jelly beans. Seems like I remember hearing about how my older sister gave me some M&M's before I even had teeth! Have fun eating your jelly "bellies" as Ella and Lucy would say! Save us some pink ones!
