"Happy Birday May Maw"

It has been a fun filled weekend for the Rutland family! Mamaw turned 90 and together the Rutland crew celebrated in the mountains! With family flying in from Texas, driving in from Alabama, Baby Jeff from West Virginia and then the Columbia crew plus the Rock Hill crew, never a dull moment was had! With 9 kids under 9, our villas were probably the most lively!

Mamaw chose this occassion to really celebrate in style! Always one for a good dress up, Mamaw decked herself out in her finest attire to arrive at her birthday party.

These 2 are NEVER up to anything good when they are together!


But how many grandmothers dress up like this for their 90th birthday party! Love the lipstick. Not to fear, everyone else can it enjoy it also as it has proven to be VERY difficult to wash off!

Mamaw had PLENTY of help blowing out her candles!

Charlie and Wylie were awaiting the candle blowing eagerly in hopes they would get a big slice of the cake!

Baby Bess had plenty of people to love and smooch on her all weekend!

Despite the fact that Mamaw Birthday was a mini vacation, my little loves felt it was appropriate to begin everyday by 7 o'clock! But oh how we love a morning of jammy hugs and cartoons!

Bess knows how to melt her Mamaw's heart! So precious!

Never too far behind, Wylie was waiting in the wings to get some Mamaw attention too!

Uncle Jeffery was great entertainment all weekend! So happy he left the Choo Choo's to come celebrate with us!

Charlie and Mamaw worked really hard on writing the letter C on the glo-board.

And where do all families hang out... of course, the kitchen. Never a moment where someone wasn't eating something!

There was absolutely NO FUN going on between these 2 fellas and their mother in law. It is probably safe to say things might have been on their way to getting out of hand!

All in All, despite rain and entertaining 9 children indoors, we had a wonderful weekend with family!
