For all those out there who don't know, the 4th of July is a WONDERFUL holiday that I love! And for all those who have forgotten, I love the 4th because of 1 WONDERFUL thing... FIREWORKS!! Although I am a little partial to sparklers! Through the years, many good times and great memories have been had with sparklers and friends that still make Bubs and I smile! As the season of fireworks is drawing very near, Bubba decided to surprise me this week with a "treat" from Target- SPARKLERS! But of course, he couldn't just buy me a surprise, he had to get a family surprise too! I believe he was reliving a small piece of his childhood because he walked on the back porch grinning as he began throwing Pop Its at my feet! Well, who do you think was around in the midst of all this Pop It action? Charlie (a huge fan of anything he can throw) and Wylie (cautious but curious). As all good dads do, Bubba felt it was his fatherly duty to teach his offspring the joys of a Pop It! Why you may ask? Because 16 month olds throwing Pop Its and then busting into laughter is quite entertaining!

I can only hope that this weekend my love for sparklers will be passed on to my children! Who can resist a sparkler anyways?! Needless to say, the Pop Its were a huge hit and when we ran out and we were forced to play with blocks and balls, it was such a disappointment!
