Happy Birthday Baby Bess!

Our baby adventure began early Thursday morning at 1am when I woke Bubba up from his 1 hour of sleep to tell him we were ready to head to the hospital! After a quick gathering of belongings and a chit chat with wonderful Lacey who babysat Charlie & Wylie- we loaded up, turned on the flashers and headed to Presby! My contractions were no joke at about 2-3 minutes apart as we drove way too fast down I-77!!

We arrived at 2 am and quickly found out we were at the half way mark for having our sweet baby! "Epideral please" was the message I was trying to convey to anyone willing to listen in my hospital room. 2 hours later, a angel sent by the Lord himself, arrived to give me some great medicine! Who knew it would take literally 6 tries to get it situated in me but once it was there... we were on cruise control! Once that was handled, my labor progressed very quickly. However, my epideral decided to quit progressing so my experience suddenly became frightening. I "put on my big girl panties" and just dealt with things knowing there was a precious baby at the end!

After pushing for only 51 minutes, Elizabeth " Bess" Cameron Bailey entered our world! Perfect in every way and captivating our hearts from her first cry! A miracle and blessing from above and an experience no words can adequately describe! Bess weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long! She is a combination of both Charlie and Wylie! She beyond a shadow of a doubt has Bubba's toenails which I find too funny! She has blue eyes and long fingers and toes! Eating has been her favorite activity so far! She is a great eater and so far a very calm little one!

Poor Bubs! Long day! What a wonderful daddy he is though!
