Human Shuffleboard?!

So there I was, cleaning up the many messes of dinner when yet another exciting Bailey game was invented. I am not exactly sure how this truly began but alas friends, this new found game turned into quite the evening entertainment for our household! All Wylie had to do was giggle a few times and do the "Wylie walk" and her daddy was wrapped! (As if he isn't already!) While the pictures may give you a small insight into our lively after dinner fun, I only wish I could have recorded her laughter! Wylie had an absolute ball with her daddy! What a great daddy to make up such cool games to play!!

It all began with a sweet little smile and a twinkle in her eye!

And off she goes!!!

But does Wylie give up? No she is hungry for more!!

But human shuffleboard can easily turn into a monster chase!

Pee-pie! I see you! Bet you can't see me?!

Do the Wylie walk! Or if you are Charlie, play with your feet in the middle of the action!

This is so much more fun than loading the dishwasher! Thanks dad for saving us!!

I love you dadda!

Getting Buff!!

It wouldn't be a typical night without a little Charlie humor to keep us all entertained! For those of you who may not know this, Charlie has decided to enter the World's Strongest Man competition. Now like any athlete, Charlie knows he can not win this competition without hard work, strength training and constant devotion to his mission! He must be a Bailey because he has even been able to be very thrifty as he has found common household items to use in his training rather than ask his daddy for a membership to the local gym! What you may ask do 15 month olds use to train for the World's Strongest Man competition? Just take a gander...

Now remember folks, always lift with your knees not with your back!

Just catching my breath! Lifting can be a real doozy!

Ladies, as hard as it may be, focus on my techniques here... not my biceps!

For optimal results, (like mine), I recommend 3 sets of 15.

Finally, any local store will have resistance bands. I recommend doing these nightly. Just remember folks, no pain- no gain!

There you have it... a small glimpse into the Bailey's Monday night! Never a dull moment around this household! Stay tuned to your local sports channel for Charlie's upcoming debut!

Beach Babes!

Toddlers and the beach equals no sitting down in beach chairs for momma and dadda! But... we wouldn't trade it for the world!!! Charlie and Wylie have been to the beach before but this was their first trip where they were mobile! And boy were they!! Our morning of beach fun consisted of sandy falls, sea shells hunts, learning what a wave is and digging for treasures in the sand! Neither Charlie or Wylie liked their feet in the wet sand or the feeling of the waves crashing onto their legs. However, everyone was a fan of the soft sand and all the digging you can do with sticks and beach toys! I have a feeling that there are many days of sand castle building in our future!

THIS... is OUR American Idol!

What do you get when you mix Wylie, an out of date scarf and a microphone? The correct answer is... an American Idol!
Although the song was more of a jibber jabber, the outfit more than makes up for the rambling lyrics! Not for certain, but I don't think even Simon could resist this cuteness! Oh what fun our Wylie can be!

Preparing for her stage debut!

Thank you! Thank you! You're too kind!

Does this mean she will follow in her father's footsteps and be a singer of the stage? Only time will tell!

34 Weeks Eve

Today is the eve of my 34th week of pregnancy! As I thought about this last night, I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I remembered what this day was during my pregnancy with Charlie and Wylie. Many VAST differences here friends!! Since I was not a "blogger" during those days (wish so bad I had been), I thought I would relive the past and allow you all to join in the fun! If for nothing more than the laughter it might bring to your day! To be clear, after my doctor's appointment today, neither my doctor nor I expect a repeat of last pregnancy tomorrow morning!

So... to begin let's discuss the lovely ensemble I tempted Bubba with for the last stretch of my pregnancy. Watch out Heidi Klum because Project Runway would not have been able to take this outfit! Thanks to my school librarian, I wore the same variation of an outfit around the house for about the last month of my pregnancy. Knowing my love for polka dots, she bought me this set of PJ's. While you may think it is a top and bottom set... oh no friends, it was a JACKET for my arms- seeing as how it did not button (except the top button).

So if that was a jacket, what was I wearing underneath? Oh... it only gets better folks! Our dear York Road librarian again saved the day by donating to me a t-shirt that fit no one else at our school. I wore it proudly. Bubba thought I was a serious dork! Whatever... teachers do touch lives! Check out this shirt... no words! I know you are all jealous!

It continues to get better though. (Lacey this next trendy piece of my attire is yours in the future! On loan of course!!!) Ye Ol' Cherokee Sweatshirt. Nothing more comfortable in this world. What made this paticular piece of clothing even better was that I couldn't get it over my belly so I simply wore it above! Belly hanging out and all (with my Teachers Rule shirt of course!) Is the image in your head ugly- because these were not the prettiest days of life!

Now that you have the mental image... let me show you my 2 faithful companions who survived that day with me! My loyal bedside companions. And for the record... I am not even sure I got out of bed that day to let Poor Hankers out!!

While I love Hank, my 2nd companion was a necessity and true lifesaver. I say prayers thanking the makers of this wonderful cocktail! Sleep would not be possible without it!

And finally, thanks to HBO, the day and eve before my children's birth was spent totally engrossed in yet another show I am addicted to!

I realize I am the only who finds humor in all this. However, when you wake at 4:19 as I have been the past couple days, random, pointless blogs come into your head! For the record, I feel that I look much more presentable tonight! Here's to embarassing pregnancy outfits! I know I can't be the only one!
