My New Bed Fellows

They began their lives sleeping in cribs. The day came and they graduated to a toddler bed. But these babies, seem to have a preference for a more spacious and luxurious bed these days!

I told Charlie and Wylie to get ready for night night and they both went and got in my bed. I giggled because it was rather adorable!

And then it got even cuter!

Sweet Charlie leaned over and said "Night Night Wylie" and gave her a kiss!

I melted!

However, the game ended and off my little loves went to their beds.

But, despite everything, no matter what we seem to try, this is what I wake up to each morning!

Meet my new bedfellows!

While I do love a little cuddle from my babies in the morning, I would like to stop the "oh how sweet" talk for one moment and point out a topic of interest.

Does anyone else see the amount of space beside Charlie? Yes, that small, tiny, fractional piece of bedding is mine.

I love my bed. I have taken great pride in buying bedding that is soothing, comfortable and swallows you whole! But friends, would you like to know how I sleep in a bed these days.

UPSIDE DOWN.

Yes, the mother of this crew gets booted. My feet end up in that small space beside Charlie's head and my head is at the footboard. Does anyone else feel that there is something slightly off with this picture?

You may be asking, "Why don't you put them back in the bed?" I can assure you we do- on a nightly basis. But after we have made our attempts and my dear sweet husband starts talking to me about, the spots in the bed really being like places on a grill (still unsure about this one love!), I give in.

And alas, I spend my few hours of restful, blissful sleep, smelling the feet of those I love so dear!

This is hysterical! Probably because it doesn't end and my youngest 2 are now 5 and 6. Many nights I end up w/ Gracie beside me and Cade against my legs. I feel like a piece of plywood b/c I cannot bend. They both come to my side and not the hubby b/c they know he'll boot them out. I realize the importance of sleep and I don't fight it! Wait til they start throwing punches in their sleep. Gracie has the meanest left hook. Good luck!
