Dinnertime: Father Daughter Style

Apparently dinnertime is not exciting enough for Wylie!

Until you look up and see your dad...

doing this!

Then suddenly, dinnertime becomes a lot more interesting!

Suddenly, dinnertime is not about cleaning your plate or not feeding Hank & Otis the scraps you don't like.

Why, didn't you know, this is what should be done from the ends of your dinnertable!

Not only does she look like him, she can imitate him too! Lucky me!

Suds and Bubbles

You may be wondering, just what does bathtime at the Bailey household look like these days?

Well, boy oh boy, like everything else... it is exciting!

This is how the calm before the storm looks.

3 litte loves getting ready for their daily scrub down!

Within seconds of being in the water, Charlie and Wylie anticipate their new favorite thing!

While this item does have an official name, at our house it is often referred to as "La La Elmo" which is Charlie code for fizzies! Oh how much excitement these little magic tablets make an already fun filled event!

Every night, Charlie and Wylie get 1 magic tablet to transform their bathwater with!

Charlie does as the direction intended for children to do. He holds it under the water and watches it magically disappear!

Quite the opposite, Wylie holds it in her wet hand and watches as her hand turns colors. Then she comments over and over "Wylie mess" until you help her wash her hand off!

Just when you think bathtime is drawing to a close, Daddy brings out the next best thing... Elmo foam soap! What a rockin' daddy!

Guess why washing hair isn't a problem these days?

And just like most everything else, Baby Bess just sits back and enjoys the crazy show. Occasionally getting a "drop" or two of foam soap on her too!

Sunny Days...

With the beautiful weather this weekend, it was a requirement to spend as much time outside as possible! So what better to do than pack it up and head to the park!
Although a trip to the park was not a first for Bess, it was the first time she was able to do much of anything besides sleep while we were there!
And what could be more fun for your first "real" time at the park than a trip in the swings!
Just look at this face!
She loved it!
I only wish I could have video recorded her precious giggles along with it!

Although it always seems like an impossible task, we were able to organize and control 5 little ones for a family photo with the cousins!

Later, we headed to the lake to feed the "quack, quacks". Charlie just about took out some of the ducks with his mighty arm and the tossing of the stale bread! As usual, he was quick to say "Bye" as the ducks left to find protection from him!

Wylie, felt feeding the "quack, quacks" was a bore and chose to eat her supply of "bed" instead! So typical!

We had a wonderful weekend and can't wait for the warm weather to return and STAY!

Lovely Jibber Jabber!

It was an easy feat for Baby Bess to say "Dada". It was an even easier feat for her to say "Bubba". However, saying "Mama" has been a lot harder than I ever desired or imagined it could be! (And this goes for all my babies!) But lucky am I, these days, this is the sound that fills our ears!
(Please excuse the mandarin oranges on the face! Messy Marvin visits us at dinner!)

I love, love, love hearing this!

And She's Off!

Baby Bess has been working on her biceps this weekend. She must be getting ready for bathing suit season! She has fallen in love with pulling up on anything and everything! Regardless of what room she is in, this is probably what Bess looks like!
Cute toosh !

But, despite the fun of standing up, Bess has had a deep desire and yearning to become mobile like her siblings! She has been practicing and working so hard!

So today, she mentally prepped herself...

and then she was off!

She does not like it when you continue to move further away from her as she is crawling to you just so you can see her in action though!

But she is so proud of herself.

And so are we!

Yeah Baby Bess!

Welcome to my world. Three kids 2 and under and they all can move freely! My life just got a bit busier!

Snow on a Saturday!

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of snowflakes danced in their heads!

We awoke this morning to a beautiful sight!

Anxious to get outside, Charlie grabbed the first pair of boots he could find in hopes he could head straight outside to slide!

We bundled up the bunch and headed out. Momma, Daddy, kids and dogs!

At first sweet Charlie liked the idea of snow. He loved touching it and tasting it!

My sweetheart Wylie, was a little more upset by the whole idea of snow. She was very hesitant to even walk in the snow. When she was finally coaxed out into it, she spent more time with her hands in the air wanting to be picked up and carried around. And just for the record, she absolutely could not take snow on her hands!

Even Baby Bess was dressed up for the big snow event of Rock Hill!

Of all that played in the snow, Otis enjoyed it the most! He was a pro at snowball catching!

All the grandparents came by to see Charlie and Wylie play in the snow!

Unfortunately, they didn't get to see any action as by this point both Charlie and Wylie had decided snow was totally overrated. Neither of them would walk in the snow. But, lucky for all of us, they loved to be carried around on a hip in it!

So, once again, we rounded up the crew and headed inside.
Snow made everyone very sleepy!

(Check this out- she was so tired, she fell asleep sitting up!) Bless Baby Bess!

It's Only The Beginning

For quite some time now, Wylie has had an extreme interest in the potty. Several times throughout the day, she will tell you she wants to go "Pee Pee Potty" but when it comes crunch time , Wylie decides she is way too busy to sit on the potty. I have tried to entice her with Elmo undies but she insisted on wearing those on the outside of her clothing so I was totally defeated with that attempt! So, I haven't really pushed it. I figured, it would happen when it happened.

So this week, like any typical night, Wylie decided she wanted to go "Pee Pee Potty".

She we sat down with our books and turned on the faucet. She was very concentrated on her story when...

something happened!

Yes, my friends, Wylie went pee pee in the potty!

It was excitement for all of us.

I suppose the humor in this story is though, we then headed upstairs to take baths. While waiting on the tub to fill, I took Wylie's clothes off of her and told her to wait a minute before she got in the bathtub. As the little turkey stood waiting on the water, the conversation went like this:

"Uh Oh! Wylie mess."

"Wylie, why didn't you go pee pee in the potty?"

"Wylie mess, Wylie mess. "

"I know Wylie made the mess. Who is going to clean it up?"

"Neen Up, Neen Up, Evbody Do Share!"

Bless her heart, she started singing the clean up song to help me clean up her mess. Now, that was just precious. Pee Pee and All!
