Off to School Some of Us Go!

Summer sure does fly when you are having fun!!
Starting back to school is such a mix of emotions!  Happy little loves excited to see all their friends, have recess together, see their new teachers and of course see their teachers from last year!

I love these little memories being snapped and captured for all the years to come!  I know one of these days I will be thumbing through these pictures, sniffing as I recall how little my little loves were!

Wylie is 100% prepared to go to first grade!  She was the first to have her book bag packed to a tee with all the required supplies!  She is ready to begin a new year of learning with her teachers!

I pray that this year, Wylie continue to have the drive for learning she has now.  She is so eager to work independently and do work that is right and correct.  She aims to please.  She is determined to do her work and rarely accepts my suggestions without putting up a fight to do it herself.  I pray she continues to be motivated but that she becomes more and more willing to listen to those who are trying to help her learn more !  I know first grade is going to be a wonderful time for Wylie!  I am so proud of how independent and strong you are Wylie!  Keep on working hard and continue to be the determined child I see each and every day!

Charlie amazes me with his knowledge.  Facts about topics I didn't even know he knew often spill from his brain!  I love that he is easily excited about science and math!  His desire to read books about sharks and space is often and his conversations about these topics are always interesting!  I pray that as Charlie enters first grade he will remember how important being intelligent is.  I pray that he will continue to think outside the box in his math and that he will always have the urge to learn more like he does now! Charlie is a quiet intellect many times.  So many times, I think he isn't listening or thinking and then he amazes me with a fact or an answer or a solution to a problem he was working on.  I am so proud that he is a deep thinker, a child who while may work slowly on tasks is more times than not correct and on point!  My little man, don't ever lose your flame to learn!  You amazes your daddy and I all the time with what you learn!  We love your fire, keep it up!

Look at these little loves?!  Just as happy as can be!!

A milestone is occurring before my eyes!  Bess is entering kindergarten and the child could not be more excited.  She is thrilled to be in a "big school" with her brother and sister, to do the things she has heard them talk about from Kindergarten and to be a part of a classroom where she will have life long friends!    I love that Bess has such a strong sense of independence and self confidence.  I pray she uses those to help her grow as a learner.  I pray she is confident in her work, her reading, her math.  I also pray that she is aware of others but continues to be herself.  Bess' characteristic of being her own person is one of her most admirable qualities and I pray she always holds on to that.  Bessie Boo, I know you are going to do wonderful things in Kindergarten! Enjoy each day and learn all you possibly can!  We are so excited to see you grow!!

My little loves are growing up way too quickly!  I am so proud to be their mom!  Each day they come home and share their school stories with me my heart aches and smiles at the same time!!

You will never know how loved you are little loves!
Lots & Lots!

A Savored Summer… Part 1

Live, Love and Make Memories!

This summer seems to have come and gone before my very eyes.  I am so thankful that I am fortunate enough to have these summer days with my loves.  And as it comes to a close, I sit and reflect on all that we did!  I am incredibly thankful for the memories made and the time I was able to spend each day with these loves of mine!  If only it could last just a bit longer!

So in a whirlwind post, here are a few of the Best Memories and Moments and Summer Highlights that made Summer 2014 a summer of Living, Loving and Making Memories!

#1 Beach Vacations
From Edisto to Pawleys to Garden City!  The Bailey Bunch lived in the sand and sun!!  I am now more convinced that I could live in a beach chair everyday and I am pretty sure as long as I had the appropriate beach gear and snacks(!!), I could convince my children to do the same!

#2 Cousin Chaos!
Counsins typically = Chaos!  And what more perfect time to have some cousin craziness than on summer days filled with sun and sand!  Capturing these moments is priceless in so many ways to me!  Looking back at them is even more precious!  I love the special love that my loves share for their cousins!  Bring on the chaos and craziness!

#3 Family
"We are family, forever and always"
Thankfully, my loves are surrounded by so many that love them to the ends of the earth!  I know they go to bed each night and lay their heads down knowing they are loved.  I know they are surrounded by wonderful examples of family and love and for that I am eternally grateful.  I pray they see the happiness in the families they are surrounded by and allow it to impact them as they get bigger and begin families of their own!

#4 Fishing
For as long as I can remember, my Mamaw and my dad have always loved to fish.  Now that my own loves are of decent age and are beginning to get the gist of the whole fishing thing… docks were important to our summer memories!  Many laughs, many scares, many successes, many sunsets and many treasured moments my heart holds dear!

#5 Pool Days!
When you can't dig your toes into the sand, you might as well find a pool chair to lounge on right?!  I'd be scared to total the number of hours my little loves spent in the chlorine of the RHCC this summer!  CrossPool Champ Charlie, Diving Diva Wylie, HeadStanding Bess and No Fear Ben… each little love enjoyed the RHCC to it's fullest!  Not so sure Daddy's bill and wallet always enjoyed it but we are thankful for the entertainment and sunshine it allowed us to soak up!

#5 "THE SLIDE"
Pretty sure when my little loves are asked to think back on a memory of summer, "the slide Chris bought us" will come up!!  I mean, it was of gigantic proportion!!  What 6, 5 or 3 year old would not love to have a double dolphin slide all to themselves for an entire day!!  I'm thinking even an adult wouldn't mind this either!!  Certainly, the last day of our beach vacation was made extra special by this gigantic treat from Chris and Fran!  The little loves sure are loved!  And blessed!

And that is only the beginning!!  Hold tight for the next installment of the Living, Loving and Memories we made in Summer 2014 !

...Until tomorrow and part 2 of our Savored Summer!
